Camera Shots

0.01 - Medium shot. This shows the audience part of the characters house so their able to establish the century that the play is set in. You can also see the characters expression which is serious meaning that something could be going wrong or it is a serious setting however linking back to the background the house is not professional so it shows that things could possibly be going wrong

0.55 - Long shot. This shows even more of the house showing just how clean it is possibly meaning that the character works at a professional job because she is used to the cleanliness of the place. Also the only lights in the room are lamps on the sides of +he room meaning that there might be an emergency in the house.

2.13 - Close up. The shot in this scene shows the worried expression of the character showing that something is going wrong or possibly he is starting to lose control of something important that will influence his future life.

Camera angles

2.58 - The lower camera angle shows the small influence and inferiority of the character on the current situation. this suggests that something is out of hand and could potentially go wrong having a large influence on the world.

Mise-en-scene

2.58 - The costume of the character in this scene shows the professionalism of the situation and the level of secretively of this place this is also shown by the setting of the lab.

Stranger Things Analysis

Costume:  The boys at the start are wearing casual 1980s clothing which suggest to the audience that the boys are lower class and not professional or serious about their job. This contrasts against the person in a white lab coat and this suggests that he is a professional scientist unlike the boys sitting in a basement playing a board game. The connotations of the white lab coat of the scientist shows that his is looking for perfection and peace which ironical compered to what happens to him Lighting:  In the opening scene, the lighting was turquoise similar to the colour that is often used in hospitals.
