Final statment of intent
I am making a two minute music video to inspire young people to take one small step to improve the quality of life in their community for my GCSE media course work. My video is aimed at young adults therefore needs to be engaging and have a clear message. For my song I have chosen Kendrick Lamar’s “i” because the lyrics are about loving yourself and being resilient. This links to brief 5, as the line “I love myself” tells people to value themselves, and is repeated several times throughout my selected 2 minutes, which can improve the quality of life in the community one person at a time. The narrative will follow the main character (me) who lip syncs the lyrics while being filmed at a handful of locations in London. The main character will start off isolated and unsure, but as the video goes on, they will grow more confident and positive which will be shown by both the costume and the body language.
